Barbier Group is involved in the environment and preservation of our environment. It’s a strategic pillar at the heart of Barbier Group’s development with the eco-design, biomaterials, the collection flow of post-consumer films and the recycling of agricultural and household films and the use of multi-layer films.

A clean industry !

Despite common feelings, the plastic extrusion industry is a clean industry. Polyethylene, which is the raw material used to produce plastic films, is composed of carbon and hydrogen. Chemically inert, completely safe, it emits no substance harmful to the environment.

Barbier Group provides access in full transparency to its carbon footprint which amounts to 65,000 t CO2/year for the manufacturing and transportation of its products.

Due to Barbier’s commitments and actions implemented, the carbon footprint is decreasing, which shows results are being achieved.
