On Wednesday August 25, 2021, the Barbier Group received a privileged partnership certificate from Esko.
Esko is a major player in the world of packaging design through the development of pre-press design software, design workflow automation and in the world of flexo printing as a machine manufacturer for the production of clichés. (insolator, engraver, etc.)
At the end of 2018, Esko launched a new plate-making technology called Crystal XPS. For every new process that comes to market, Esko needs to ensure that it works on the plates that are used primarily by printers.
At the start of 2019, the Barbier Group, and more specifically the Unit 3 printing workshop, participated in these qualification tests with three half-day printing trials in partnership with Médialliance (photoengraver).
Through this work, the health crisis having postponed this moment, we are now the first printer in the world to obtain the “best in its category in photoengraving” certification for a period of 2 years. This certification, usually reserved for photoengravers, allows us to demonstrate our commitment to using the best techniques available on the market.
