Low density polyethylene (LDPE) = the oldest and the most frequently used of polyethylene. It is used in the shrink film manufacture.

Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) = its mechanical properties are better than those of LDPE. It is non-shrinkable and it is used for the thin films manufacture.

Metallocene polyethylene (MPE) = it’s a last generation linear polyethylene with enhanced mechanical and optical characteristics.

High density polyethylene (HDPE) = easy to recognize due to its cloudy appearance and its
crunchy touch. It used for the high rigidity and tenacity thin film manufacture.
